I have some info on Edward French (1737-1783) of Bay Roberts and his sons Edward (1766-1829) and William (1768-?), both of whom settled in Bareneed.
I'm looking for more info on the ancestors of Edward (1737-1783) and would be happy to share what I have found so far.

My grandfather was Thomas Alric French. He grew up in Harbour Grace. Born 2/24/1880. His father was George French b 1833, married to Elizabeth Pippy, b 1836. Elizabeth died in 1881, and George remarried. My grandfather stated that he was from a large family. (11 kids?) I do not know the name of the second wife. Please let me know if any of this is familiar to anyone. My husband and I and our son are going to Newfoundland in June. Would love to have more info when we go.
