Working on a tree for a friend. Her great grandfather was Richard Smardon, who was married to Maria Rogers. They had Francis Frederick, born 1867, Willard George, born 1875 and Margaret D., born 1877. Don't know if they had any other children. Trying to find out who Richard's parents were and any other info.

b.1833 St.John's,Nfld.Could also be 1831.
md. Nov.3,1857 District of Burin,Parish of Burin,Methodist Church.

b.Aug. 31,1839 Great Burin,Nfld
d.Nov.4,1919 Halifax,Nova Scotia,Canada

Mary Jane 1859-
Louisa Tilson 1861-1949
Melinda M. 1865-1919
Francis Frederick 1867-1946
William George 1875-1945
Margaret D. 1977-1942
Richard Charles 1880-1941
Ethel Elizabeth 1881-
If you or your friend can go to ancestry.com you can find a Smardon/Smeardon family tree that will give you more info.In church record for Richards marriage his last name is spelled Smerdin.I will post more info as I find it.

Thanks for the additional children and the marriage date. I don't have access to Ancestry.com unfortunately.
