I am searching the JAMES family of Trepassey and hit a road block , it seems they were church of England before converting to RC. I have been unable to find COE records for Trepassey area for early 1800's. William and John JAMES both converted to RC ,William in 1853 and John in 1855 info in parish records at ST.Mary's , ST.Mary's bay NL. Records don't show much info no parents name. Any help to locate COE records for Trepassey area would be greatly appreciated .Thanks, Da JAMES'

As far as I know there was no COE in Trepassey, which is possibly why the family converted

Hello, regarding the James family I do have information on this family as my Hartigan descendants raised several young girls after their mom Catherine James Myrick died in 1908. They were raised by two of John James' daughters Ester and Frances for their deceased sister Catherine. David Hartigan
