A William Phippard married an Inuit woman and they had a child named Sarah who married John Blake of Labrador.
Where did the Phippards come from? Any help?
Thanks

That would be the Isle of Wight.
See "History and Renewal of Labrador's Inuit-Metis", ed. John Kennedy, ISER Publications, 2014. Re - Chapter 7, 'The Story of William Phippard', Patricia Way.
Cheers

The first William Phippard in Labrador, 1770s, worked for Jeremiah Coghlan, the Bristol merchant, until he became an independent.
