Y-DNA testing(FAMILYTREEDNA) has been completed on Thorne originating from John Thornton/Thorne 1760's of New Harbour and Thorne of Brownsdale,Trinity Bay, originating from John Thorn of Lower Island Cove 1831.
The results show NO MATCH, Thorne of New Harbour are not related to Thorne of Brownsdale/Lower Island Cove. (If only a Torbay Thorne would get tested)

Len, I just had a match on ancestry to a male Thorne from Torbay. He live in New Brunswick now. He would be my 4th cousin 1x removed. I have e-mailed him and if I get a response hopefully he will test his Y dna also. We will see.

If only he would, we could see how the Torbay Thornes matches up or not. Thank you very much.
