Hello, I am also interested in Wells ancestry. My great-grandmother, Emily Wells, was, I believe, born around 1860 on Gooseberry Island in Bonavista Bay. In 1884 she married my great grandfather, Obadiah Winters (or Winter) on Pool's Island. She died sometime after 1935, probably on Pool's Island or in Valleyfield. I believe her father was George Wells. Perhaps there is a connection?
