Hi I am seeking any information regarding the family of George & Selina HISCOCK and in particular their son William born 1882 at Chamberlains. He joined the Newfoundland Rgt. in 1915 and was sent to Ayr, Scotland. There he married Jessie McClintock. He fought in France and spent some time in hospital in London before being repatriated in 1918. Jessie came to Newfoundland on the SS Missanabie in 1918. William Hiscock is buried at Topsail - he died in 1956. I have been unable to find William and Jessie in any of the post WW1 census or other lists. Jessie was born 1899 in Ayrshire and therefore may have been alive up to the 1980's. : |
