I am doing family history research on WHITE families of Placentia Bay and St. Mary's Bay. This research is currently focussed on the family of my great grandfather James WHITE of St. Bride's [Birth (1872) at St. Brendan's, Bonavista Bay + Death (1961) at St. Bride's, Placentia Bay)].

Decks Awash magazine Volume 19 Number 03 May–June 1990 featured a Special Section on communities of The Cape Shore; specifically, Point Verde (Placentia Bay) and area to Branch (St. Mary's Bay) and area. Quoting from the sub-section on St. Bride’s:
"Others living in the area in the early 1800s include the Barry, Dohey, Foley, Lake, Lundrigan (Londergan), Murphy, White and Young families."

What record sources would include references to WHITE families "in the (St. Bride's) area in the early 1800s"? Where would I find this information?
