Post subject:  Farrell Genealogy from Baie du Nord

My father was Thomas Farrell born in 1891 in Baie du Nord, son of William Farrell and
Bridget ? (not sure of her last name, need help please). Wondering if Joseph Vincent
Farrell born in 1887 (like to know his father, think maybe Phillip Farrell of 1843)
Also Benjamin Farrell, was he the father of Teacher Tom Farrell from Baie du Nord.
Benjamin was born 1867 and Teacher Tom Farrell born 1899. Also if anyone can help,
Simeon Farrell born in 1888, wondering if he's father was Phillip Farrell from 1834?
Quite a few questions but dad didn't tell me anything accept that his sister was
Philomena Farrell born in 1890 and married a Fitzpatrick. my email is
dfarrell@eastlink.ca

William Farrell married Bridget Dollimont at Bay du Nord 22 November 1882. They had at least two children Thomas b 18 October 1891 and Philomena b c 1890. This and other information on the Farrell families of Bay du Nord (including family trees) can be found at:

familysearch.org

another link you may wish to use is:

I have no connection to these families. Hope the links are helpful.

You were inquiring whether Joseph Vincent Farrell was the son of Philip Farrell (1843);
Joseph Vincent Farrell of Bay du Nord attested the following on 2 June 1947 when he registered his birth: Born 1 October 1885 to Philip Farrell and Mary Nowlan at Bay du Nord.

21 November 1918 at Harbour Breton
Joseph Vincent Farrell, Fisherman 33, married Veronica Stewart, Teacher 27.

The following information concerning Philip Farrell and Mary Nowlan was found on another website but has not been verified by me. With your family knowledge you may be able to confirm it.

Philip Farrell b 1843 in Trim An Mhi, Meath, Leinster, Ireland d 1911 Bay du Nord, Newfoundland
Mary Nowlan b 1850, Longford, Ireland
Philip and Mary were married at Bay Bulls, Newfoundland, 3 October 1878
Children from this union:
Mary Bridget 6 Feb. 1878
Ellen 1880 Bay du Nord
William Joseph 19 Jan. 1882, d 25 Feb. 1970, Scarborough, Ontario
Elizabeth Joseph 18 Nov. 1883
Jerome 1884
Joseph Vincent 1 Oct. 1885
Theresa c 1889
Bernadette c 1894
Gertrude Frances 19 Oct. 1895

Hope you can verify this to be correct.

Thank you so much for the information. I have another Phillip Farrell, born art 1843
married to Mary Ellen Williams. I have a Jane Farrell, born Nov 20th, 1882 to Phillip Farrell
and Ellen Williams. I may have the date wrong for Phillip Farrell as about 40 years
when Jane was born.

Hello! I am also researching my Farrell family line. My great grandmother was Teresa Farrell (1863-1925). She is buried in St. Jacques with my great grandfather Thomas Burke. Teresa had three brothers, Patrick, Richard and David, and a sister, Elizabeth.

I believe my great great grandparents were John Farrell and Mary Connelly.

Can you tell me if these names turn up in your research? With Farrell being a fairly common name, I'm never sure if I'm following the correct family line.

Kind regards,
Louise
