Benjamin Martin was from Harbour Grace and his wife Rebecca unknown from Lower Island Cove according to the 1921 census. The family lived in the area of the Battery in St. John's for a number of years. The earliest record is from 1911.
Their son Alexander was lost on the HMS Viknor in 1915.
Daughter Sarah married Albert Benson and daughter Bessie married a Dalton.

Hopefully someone out there knows the provenance of Benjamin or is a descendant.
