I'm looking for information on Mary Catherine Martin and her husband John Parsons, both of Bear’s Cove, Harbour Grace; when did they die and where were they buried (believed to be together)?
John moved from Bears Cove with several of his children to Lynn, MA, USA between 1898 and 1900, following his daughter Susan(na(h)) who moved there earlier and married John Davies, also from Harbour Grace area. It is believed Mary died in Newfoundland before 1898. Their oldest son, Absalom, born in 1868 in Bear’s Cove, "went to sea on the whalers at the age of 11" and settled in Liverpool, England. Other children were William, Norman, Bertha, Effie Rose, Ernest, Leonard, Fanny, Ida.
I am Absalom's Grandson, Roy.
