My great grandfather, JOHN REID was born about 1849 in Carbonear. He married MARGARET BRIEN on Jan 11, 1877 in Carbonear. She was born in Northern Bay on Aug. 6, 1843. Her parents were JOHN BRIEN & HONORA POWER. According to vital statistics records, John & Margaret's children include: Mary Ann, Francis, Mary Bridget, Isabella, Joannah, Lawrence, Shan and James (my grandfather). The 1921 census of Carbonear lists John as a widower. I cannot find any records of John since the 1921 census. Please share any information you may have on these families. |
