Post subject:  Thomas White . Gaskiers - Point La Haye

Hutchinson's Newfoundland Directory for 1864-1865 notes a Thomas White living at Gaskier, St. Mary's Bay.

I am looking to connect with any person who can provide me with any aspect of Thomas' family history or help me connect with someone who may have researched his genealogy. For instance:

Is this Thomas White related to:
Thomas White living at Riverhead, St. Mary's Bay at this same time?
Daniel White living at Point La Haye at this same time?
Cyril and/or John Thomas White of Point la Haye and who both served with the Newfoundland Overseas Forestry Unit (NOFU) in Great Britain (Scotland) during World War II?

It is believed that Gaskiers was previously (originally?) called Gascoigne.
The reference to "Gaskier" in Hutchinson's 1864-65 is likely misspelled and probably should be spelt "Gaskiers".
Lovell's Newfoundland Directory for 1871 refers to "Gaskin, (Pont La Haye").
This town is now a joint municipality called Gaskiers - Point La Haye.

In advance, thank you, any information and/or assistance you can provide would be much appreciated.
