We were stationed (US Navy) on the Base in Argentia from 90-94. We made many great friends while there. But, since leaving we have lost contact with them. I would like for anyone who may have any information of Shirley and Doug Hefford of Plancentia Bay, or Betty and Mick Spurvey. I cannot remember what the name of their location way, but it was near Placentia Bay, to please get in touch. Our family truly LOVED our stay in Newfoundland and often talk about it with fond memories. Our children are grown now, but your kindness has stayed with them. Mick and Betty had a daughter named Nora who married an american Soldier named Greg, if that helps. Doug and Shirley had children, but I cannot remember their names. Shirley worked at the Daycare center on Base until it closed.
