I am looking for documentation on the Indian status (birth, death, baptism, or marriage) of the surname PAUL in the Bonavista Bay area ( mainly of Deer Island and Bragg's Island). My maternal ancestry starts as follows: Sadie Paul (mother), her father - Kater Paul, his father -Josiah Paul, his father - John Paul, his father - either Thomas or William Paul who came to NL from NS. I am looking for a document (birth, death, baptism, or marriage) of either of these PAULS that shows the nationality (status) was MicMac or Indian.
