I found on ANCESTRY.com Canadian Immigration Service: NOTES: J H DUPHENEY, age 46, bc 1877, arrived North Portal SK 1923, last perm res Stephenville Nfld, born Nfld, Roman Catholic, destination North Sydney. entering from US, writing hard to read
can't find a marriage online so far on Nfld Gen Web Roman Cath records but Joseph must be a grandson (or possibly g-gson) of JEAN FREDERICK DAUPHINEE (born Sep 11 1791 North W Lunenberg NS - died Winterhouse, Port au Port) & MARIE ANNE LEJEUNE (aka Young), she bc 1794 & died Apr 8 1871 Port Au Port. I was told they married Dec 5 1820 sydney NS. This family left NS and moved to the Sandy Point area NL sometime after the 1830s or so Joseph may be a son of one of their following sons (1) JOHN DAUPHINEE - married Aug 30 1851 Sandy Pt to Adele Gaudet. could be a grandson of this John (2) ISAAC DAUPHINEE born circa 1841 Port au Port NL - married Jul 26 1870 Sandy Pt to Marie Plove (3) ANGUS DAUPHINEE born ? - died Jan 1881. Married Nov 12 1868 Sandy Point Anglican to Amelia Jane Picot.
Cecilia Young - her surname was likely originally LeJeune and was anglicized. This would mean her ancestors were also from NS
If you can connect up to the Dauphinees above, I can bring you back to late 1680s Jean Joseph Dauphinee bc 1685 Montbeliard, Alsace, France : Md Jul 23 1709 Longeville, Doubs, France, to Marguerite Certier (b Dec 28 1687 Montbeliard, France - died after 1728). Jill Marshall, St Johns
