According to the verified information that I have my Father, James Connolly, was born in Burnt Cove, NL , the illegitimate child of Jas Walsh and Mary Gertrude Connelly. He was baptized in Witless Bay, NL. According to his Birth Certificate and Baptismal Certificate, he was born James Walsh. When he married my Mom, his name was recorded as James Connolly. Of the thousands of my DNA matches, I have not found a DNA connection to Jas Walsh. This journey has taken me way beyond my Grandparents on both my Maternal and Paternal sides. I have connected with many cousins on my Connolly, Doyle, Frizzell and Burke sides. Where are you, Jas Walsh descendants. Kaye Connolly |
