Newfoundland's Grand Banks Message Board

My Mother Sarah? or Sadie Currie attended grade school in either Corner Brook or Halifax, NS in late 1910 decade. Her birth name was Sarah? Currie. My Mother was born 4/30/1910 in either city. Her parent's names were Bertha and David Currie. She emigrated to the Buffalo, NY area in late 1920's where she met and married my Father Clarence D. Haley. They remained in the Buffalo area until they died. I was born August 1931.
I do not know where my grandparents were born---perhaps either Nova Scotia or Newfoundland. My Mother had 2 brothers born about same time---John Fenwick Currie and James L Currie.
My Mother did not like her birth name of Sarah? and started to use Sadie.
HELP!!! I have scanned census records with no success yet.
