Hi, I'm looking for information about the family of Esther "Ettie" Sharpe born around 1885, possibly in Colliers. The Harbor Main return of marriages indicates she was married to John Walsh 24 Nov 1903 in Conception Harbor and both were living in Colliers at the time. This John Walsh was killed in a mining explosion on Bell Island in 1908 and Esther remarried Patrick Joseph Ryan on 13 June 1909.

Correct, they ended up in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware.
I was just given a tip in private messages that points towards Esther being the daughter of Ambrose Sharpe and Frances Gushue. This seems pretty likely based on place and time of birth of other children from this couple as well as naming traditions. It would be nice to find a document pointing towards both of them as her parents, but it sounds like I'll have to visit the archives in person for this.
