Hi My Grandaunt Margaret Mahon was a nurse in Newfoundland from around 1927 - 1948. She married Vincent Reddy. (i believe he was connected to a butcher's business or perhaps fishery). They had a son James Reddy born about 1931. I do not know if James is still alive but if not, I am hoping to track descendants or any information on the Reddys or where the family might be interred.
Margaret was associated with NONIA (nurses organisation I think) and I believe she qualified in a place called Garnish. The family lived in Burin. Is there anyone out there who can updated me about that family. I have her photograph and I know she was one of 13 children born in a place called Clogh, Castlecomer, County Kilkenny, Ireland. She passed away in 1948 in Newfoundland.
It would be fantastic if someone can help in any way.
All the best Marie

Hi Your "Reddy" family is the Reddies of Burin. James(Jim) son of Vincent is still alive and resides in this area. He was a long-time volunteer in the RC church in Burin. He is, I believe, currently residing at a retirement center in Marystown.
