Hello, I am trying to locate a copy of the "Goulds Municipal Plan, 1977". I am especially interested in what is on page 3. In the "Encyclopedia of Newfoundland and Labrador" Volume 2 - page 579, it states that the first Crown Land Grant in Goulds was to Mr. Charles Frizzell. See: http://collections.mun.ca/cdm/ref/colle ... enl/id/424 . My g-g-gfather was Richard Frizzell and he received his in 1887 at the age of 60. I have a Charles Frizzell born Abt 17 Oct 1855. I am hoping that the document may provide a year, so that I might be able to identify who it actually was. If it was prior to 1887, then I know that it was Charles. If it was 1887, then it is possible that my g-g-gfather's middle name was Charles. Thank you, Chris |

Hi Chris, I have asked at the City of St. John's office, since Goulds has become a part of the city, and they didn't have it on file there, they only have one from 1985. I'm planning on making a trip to the city archives to see it anyway this summer. |
