Looking for my husband's biological father. My husband was born in Jan 1967 at James Patton Memorial Hospital in Gander. He was adopted at the age of 6 months and taken to the states. His biological mother is Caucasian and a native of Newfoundland. Her name is Sarah. We do not have any info on his biological father. We only know he was African American and may have been in the millitary and stationed in Newfoundland. I hope someone can provide some type of info. We only need help finding the father. Maybe someone might remember her name or know someone who may have dated her.Thank you

Thank you Linda, I was reading some info on the site you provided. We had already requested and received his Certificate of birth and the adoption order. However, both documents list the adoptive parents only. Will they be able to send me any info other than this?
Thank you

Hi...I am a new member but your request caught my eye. Can you not go on Ancestry and bring up the name of the hospital....then look at the records for Jan, 1967. Look for a baby with the mother's name being Sara? Reason I say this is I love the program Long Lost Family and I see where they two researchers seem to begin with Ancestry and they can look at the records for hospitals for a certain time period. Then try and match a name or a date. Keeping in mind, this is done in the States.....I don't know if Ancestry has the same access when searching in Canada. Good Luck in your search.
