Anyone know where I can find the above birth records. Looking for Jacob Smith, Born Oct 1873 ? Would aslo like to find Marriage Records for same area, I would be grateful for any help.

Hello, familysearch.org has birth/baptismal records ...Trinity Bay, Green's Harbour (Methodist)Birth 1867-1891. Here is the link that will open the record for the Sept. 26, 1873 birth of Jacob Smith ...parents Jacob and Susannah of Normans Cove...baptismal date July but no year given..

This Newfoundland's Grand Banks site has had those church records transcribed and the bapt. date is given as July 26, 1874 and his mother's name is recorded as Susannah Thorne Smith.

Thank you so much. also trying to find further info on jacob smith, trying to determine if this is same man who raised a boy named samual, his mother was a mary ann warren. samuel's religion was c of e. and jacobs was methodist. haven't been able to find any info on mary ann warren. Samuel Smith applied for birth certificate on retirement, Birth date Sept 9 1900, arrival of birth certificate shows surname as warren and birth date as Sept 1902. You have been so helpful, can you offer any other clues for my search.

re Jacob Smith... census records for Sunnyside, Trinity Bay district has a Jacob Smith (and family) whose dob is given as Oct 1874, Norman's Cove. No Samuel with this family in 1921.
The only thing I can suggest is due diligence...also you will get a response from someone with better info.
