Hi, I am in the UK but my real grandfather, so I recently found out, was Michael John Ledrew, born 15th January 1905 (maybe a year or two either way). He was from Bay Bulls, according to the British Merchant Navy records I have. His parents names were Peter Ledrew & Jane (Healy). I'm struggling to find any birth or marriage records for him and his parents. Can anyone help? I can get lots of info about his wartime record, merchant navy etc, but I have nothing of his early life in Newfoundland, or that of his parents & family. I'm also looking for any possible relatives over there. |
