Newfoundland's Grand Banks Message Board

Looking for information on Snook and Bethina Buffett of Long Harbour or Stones Cove, Fortune Bay. I think Snook must have died before 1871 since Bethina is the only one listed in the 1871 Business Directory of Long Harbour.
The only two children I know of are Mary Jane Buffett baptised Sep 15 1859 in Harbour Breton and Lydia Buffett born Jul 1862 in Stones Cove and baptised Aug 29 1863 in Harbour Breton.
Snook may have had a brother Rueban who is listed living with Lydia in Bay L'Argent in 1921. Rueban was born Aug 1835 in Stones Cove and died Nov 26 1922 in Bay L'Argent.
