I am actually doing this search for my husband. Ever since I met him I thought of him to have some native background. When I met his father it confirmed it, and even more so his grandmother. The family is very hush hush about it and do not want to discuss anything about the family history. The only thing I have found out is this.

My husbands grandmother: Tryphena Caines (apparently of Pools Cove) born August 17th 1936 married Harold Dodge (of Belleroam) born August 8th 1929.

Tryphena's mother was Edith Caines nee Domineaux and married Edwin Caines.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
