Newfoundland's Grand Banks Message Board

I am searching for my gr.grand fathers history..I have some clues but nothing concrete.
His name was Charles Quinton of RedCliff area, married Sarah White of Tickle Cove 1837.
They had 5 sons..one was Edward Quinton, my grandfather. My challenge lies in the
previous history of Charles Quinton, born approx 1830(?) I have found a couple of
possible leads such as the Charles Quinton born 1780 in that area who married
wife #2 Elizabeth Warren..but I can't connect them as being my Charles parents.

If anyone can help me who knows the history in that area from 1700 - 1800 for
Charles I would be most greatful. Thankyou.

I am related to that Quinton family as well. My grandmother was Martha, the daughter of Charles and Martha Jane Quinton. Charles was the son of Charles Quinton & Sarah White. How are you connected?
