Has anyone on the list done any research on the George Family of Chateau Harbour in Labrador? I am looking for information on Jonathan George who married Annie McCarthy on 29 Oct 1861. One of their children John George (1865 Chateau Harbour-03 Feb 1948 Curling) married on 15 May 1889 (from Sacred Heart Curling Marriage Records) to Mary Ann Murphy (1873-1960) . Any help greatly appreciated.

Jonathan George and Annie McCarthy's children were Mary, John, Martin, William and Matthew (my Grandfather). I have some information on the descendants.

I have been told that Jonathan's parents were Thomas George and Ellen Keenedy. Thomas is listed in the names of inhabitants in Chateau Bay
between 1853 -1867 with a total number of 8 in his family.
