Good morning,

I am recently delving into my father's blurry past and am thankful for a website such as this. My dad was born in Red Bay, Labrador in 1907. He migrated to Boston in 1926 in search of his father, who had gone to Boston some years earlier. My dad (Stanley Guy Yetman) passed away in 1998.

In recent days, I have found where my dad's father is buried (Everett, MA) and am trying to trace his past (both in Labrador and here in the US). Here is what I now know.

.William Yetman, Red Bay, Labrador
.Came to Boston, MA and married Alice (Yetman)
.Had a daughter named Ethel (Ethel later married William Taylor and lived most of her life in Everett, MA)
.died in 1932 and is buried at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett, MA

I have searched manifests but have not found when William Yetman came to the US. I find no record of my Father's life in Red Bay either. There are many "Yetman" names to be found, but it is hard to know who is related to whom.

If there are any websites that would help me locate further information, that would help me greatly.

Paul William Yetman
Nashua, NH

Hi Paul,
I found this family tree regarding a William Yetman from Red Bay. I am assuming that it the person you are looking for. Try this link:

Didn't you say your Wm Yetman was born in 1907 ? This can't be the right Wm ... this Wm died in 1890 and is buried in the Methodist cemetery in Red Bay .
