Hi,still looking for information on my gt grandmother Gertrude Abbott ne Renouf,she was married to Otto Abbott,he died in 1920 my grandad Ted and his brother Austin were brought up in a convent/orphanage.We have documentation about Gertrude from an asylum in Dartmouth Nova Scotia in 1922,she is to be deported to The asylum in St Johns as she has "dementia praecox"She is later discharged as cured.She later shows on passenger lists to Nova Scotia,in 1927 she was deported to Newfoundland as mentally defective,there are no other records for her,she doesnt seem to have any death record in Newfoundland or Canada,vanished into thin air,any ideas!!Jill Biddle ne Abbott
