Newfoundland's Grand Banks Message Board

I am trying to trace the Bruce family. the information I have so far is:-
David bruce born 1819 in St. Johns Newfoundland. He married Elisabeth, (surname unknown) and the date of the marriage unknown. Thought to be 1846. Elisabeth was born in 1821 in Stoke Dameral Devon England. David was a gunner in the Royal Artillery.There first born was Emily Elisabeth born in 1847 (which I have found on this site. They then returned to England where they stayed for the rest of thir lives. I would appreciate any help that anybody could give, to help me to move on.
