Newfoundland's Grand Banks Message Board

Hi,

My great grandfather was Peter Joseph Constantine, he passed away in 1920 and has a war memorial grave at Ayr cemetery in Scotland, U.K. I now his parents were Peter Constantine and Hannah Dunphy who lived at 20 McFarlane Street, St Johns. I know my nothers side of the family also have relatives in newfoundland I am not aware of the names but I do know the two Families knew each other.

Before Peter Joseph Constantine passed away he married Lily Maine and had two daughters, Jessie and Jean.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Peter Joseph Constantine, 1896 St. John's - 8 Apr 1920, was indeed the son of Peter Contatntine & Hannah Dunphy. He had 4 siblings that I know of. Peter Joseph was the grandson of James Constantine & Mary Ann Hiscock (Hiscott), and the great-grandson of Jonathan Constantine & Honora Kieley.
