Newfoundland's Grand Banks Message Board

has anyone researched the fleming/flemming name from torbay. pre 1886. trying to place my great grandfather edward fleming. in the 1921 census for smiths harbour he is listed as being from gar. bay. but now i am pretty sure that it is torbay (tarbay). he died in 1931 age 86 1/2. so his date of birth was around 1845. in 1868 he and his wife emma/amy had a child in stocking harbour. i cannot find a marriage date for them. i am wondering if someone has an edward fleming in their research.
