| Post subject: | Thomas, son of John "Old Man" Matthews and Sarah Bagg |
Trying to prove/disprove that my Matthews are descendants of Thomas Matthews of Burgeo, son of original settlers John Matthews and Sarah Bagg (info from Joseph Small's Diary of Burgeo, 1925). I have found 3 suggested wives: Deborah Francis Dicks (1812-1885); Frances Caines (1847-1894, most unlikely) and Mary Davis (1817-1901). If anyone here traces back to Thomas Matthews and can point me to marriage or census records, I would be much appreciative. Thankful for any help, Donna |
