POWER....Argentia....1770s onward. (1) John Corbin of Argentia married Mary (...?...) about 1778,as their son John Corbin Jr. was born then. John Corbin Sr.'s headstone says it was erected by Philip Power. Later,when the Widow Corbin remarried, to John Green of Point Verde(my GGG-GF),their son William married Catherine Power of Argebtia(1801-1868). I am specifically looking for the birth name of Mary Corbin ,later Mary Green(e).....and,presuming she was from Argentia,and with so many Power connections in the family,I am wondering if perhaps she was born Mary Power and then married John Corbin. I hope some Power researcher can help. Thanks. (2) Would like to exchange information with anyone who has genealogy information on any of the many Power-Greene marriages during the 1800s and 1900s. (3) GREENE./...if in your research you have found other surnames married to Point Verde Greens or Greenes, I would also be very interested in these,and of course am happy to exchange information.
