Hi there

There were no Vital Records in the Province prior to the early 1890's. The only records were the original Parish Registers kept by Parishes and Churches.

During the 1940's, the Churches were requested to transcribe their early records and send them to Vital Records. Many churches did this but many did not.

You should be able to request the church marriage certificate and church baptism record from St. Saviour Anglican Church, Anglican Parish of Hermitage, PO Box 39, Hermitage, Newfoundland and Labrador, A0H 1S0, Canada.

The Bonne Bay noted in your message was later renamed McCallum, not to be confussed with the Bonne Bay on the west coast in Gros Morne Park
