Congratulations Erika, to you and your mother and to all her family. I wish you the very best time in Newfoundland.
One tiny question: was your Mother adopted by Ida Mae & James or was she their biological child? Just not clear on that.
I hope I have helped a little in filling in some blanks for you. All the best.

My mother is Ida and James's biological child. They did not want to give her up. Ida passed away in 1965 from a brian tumor and James from Cancer. It turns out she has a brother, Shawn Patrick, which we are now making motions to find through the WARM intermediary agency in Seattle, Washington. It is so good to know that the family has been looking for my mom and shawn all these years. I hope to visit the graves of my grandparents, Denis Patrick, and Angela, when I visit Newfoundland Sep. 12th.
