Researching Richard Willar/Wheeler who married Sarah Clifford Barnes in Trinity, NL on Jan 17 1831; need to positively confirm link between him and child George Willar who was born about 1830 in Trinity.
George Willar (sailmaker, St. John's), married widow Sarah Morris (nee Fleet) 15 Nov 1856 @ Anglican Cathedral St. John's) record indicates he was from Greenspond. George is my great great grandfather, whose family continued the sail-making trade in St. John's.
Secondly, will then wish to confirm Richard's ancestry. Some researchers are indicating he may have been a descendant of William Wheeler/John Wheeler but there are gaps.
