Newfoundland's Grand Banks Message Board

Hello. We are new here, and are looking for any information on my wife's Newfoundland family. In particular any information on Sergeant Patrick Coady of the RNC, who died in March 1888, aged 70. According to family tradition he came out with an Irish regiment, and stayed. Since there were no Irish regiments in Newfoundland in that period, I suspect he was with one of the Veteran Companies.
