Is anyone on the board researching the Mandevilles?
With access to the Catholic Parish Registers, free access to Irish records for this month at Ancestry and free access to FindmyPast.ie this week I have had no luck finding my ancestor William Mandeville (supposedly born ca. 1802 in Carrick-on-Suir died 1887 at Point La Haye, St. Mary's Bay NL).

I don't think the Carrick-on-Suir registers have been entered into the database yet.
You may have to do a manuel search of the records on the National Library of Ireland
website. It is very time consuming but free of charge.

I've looked through the NLI files and found another ancestor (Casey) and I have found Mandevilles just not William. I also then went to find the Casey file on Ancestry and Find my Past so they have been translated but no luck on the Mandeville side. Just wondering if anyone else is searching for the same Mandeville family that has some insight.

I realize this is an old post and maybe you found your answer...but I am just now also investigating Mandeville and found a William Mandeville b 1802 died July 5 1887. wife Ellen, sons William and Edward. The info is on the Old St. Mary's Cemetery page.
