I'm looking for any information on a JOHN HART born 2 Feb 1856 possibly in the Codroy Valley area. He married a MARY A. Unk (born 20 Aug 1864) and they moved to the Glace Bay area of Cape Breton sometime before 1894. They had one son, Daniel Joseph Hart (1894-1918). I'm not even sure if John married in Newfoundland or Nova Scotia. If anyone can help with where to look for records, I'd be very grateful. Thanks!

Trishe, according to information entered in John Hart's death record of 1916, he was born in Cape Breton in 1856.
Mary McDonald-Hart was born in North Sydney, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. She died in July 1913, age 45 years.
And, according to information contained in one census document I perused, John Hart, his wife Mary McDonald-Hart, and their son Daniel Joseph Hart, were all born in N.S.

Thanks Milt! I didn't have much information to start with, just a connection with Newfoundland and the Codroy Valley. Thanks to you, I can do some more checking in NS first. The family still lives here but were wondering where they came from.
