I'm looking for any information on a JOHN HART born 2 Feb 1856 possibly in the Codroy Valley area. He married a MARY A. Unk (born 20 Aug 1864) and they moved to the Glace Bay area of Cape Breton sometime before 1894. They had one son, Daniel Joseph Hart (1894-1918). I'm not even sure if John married in Newfoundland or Nova Scotia. If anyone can help with where to look for records, I'd be very grateful. Thanks! |

Trishe, according to information entered in John Hart's death record of 1916, he was born in Cape Breton in 1856. Mary McDonald-Hart was born in North Sydney, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. She died in July 1913, age 45 years. And, according to information contained in one census document I perused, John Hart, his wife Mary McDonald-Hart, and their son Daniel Joseph Hart, were all born in N.S. |

Thanks Milt! I didn't have much information to start with, just a connection with Newfoundland and the Codroy Valley. Thanks to you, I can do some more checking in NS first. The family still lives here but were wondering where they came from. Trishe |
