Newfoundland's Grand Banks Message Board

I am seeking information about Stephen Mercer's parents and/or siblings. I have Stephen Mercer born May 1876 in Chamberlains, died 1954 and is buried in Topsail United Cemetery. Stephen married Susannah Barnes who was born Nov 15 1874 in Topsail and was the daughter of Robert John Barnes Jr. and Martha Barnes (Miller). Stephen and Susannah's children were Edith born Mar 10 1899, Alan Jackson born Jun 7 1901, Margaret born Jul 1901, Julia born Jun 1902, Eric born May 1909, Cyril born Dec 26 1910 and Emma born 1917. It is rumored that Stephen had a brother Robert but I have not been able to confirm that information. The name Abraham has also been mentioned as another potential brother which also has gone unconfirmed.
