Post subject:  Noseworthy from Lewisporte
Hi there,
I am the grandaughter of Vivian Noseworthy, who was born in Lewsiporte, as was her father, Tobias Noseworthy. Her mother's name was Hettie and she was from Beaverton.
I'm hoping to make a trip to Newfoundland in July, (I live on a small island in BC), and am trying to see if there might still be relatives of mine in Lewisporte, (or elsewhere on the island), who I might meet.
My grandmother, (Vivian), married Thomas Dampier from Toronto, and had 3 kids, William, Janice and David, (my dad).

I know it is a long shot, but my dad is disabled now, and unable to make the trip. I would like to at least see where his mom was from, and bring him back some pictures and stories.

Any help or advice is welcome, Thanks for your time.

Dear Kim, I found this confirmation info and am continuing to look up more for you...
hopefully in a while I will have something extra to add. Keep searching....it is a great
enjoyment to find ones past and relatives....I myself have found two cousins I didn't even
know I had since coming on here....:-)

There is a Lewisporte Newfoundland public face book page with pictures but also maybe you could post your question there as there are still Noseworthy's living in Lewisporte.

Hi Kim
My husband is from Lewisport and he remembers at least one family named Noseworthy who lived there. Canada411.ca has two telephone listings for Noseworthy in the town one named William. Might be worth a phone call. Most people I know wouldn't mind receiving such a call.

Hi,

I am from Lewisporte and went to school with Patty Noseworthy, the family had long roots in Lewisporte but moved to Grand Falls around 1975. Can remember other children named Paul and Minnie. Not sure if they would be listed in the Grand Falls/Windsor phone book. Hope this helps.
