Newfoundland's Grand Banks Message Board

According to a post I found by Susan Goodchild, John Sutton (b. 1769, Warslow England), came to Newfoundland with his wife, Dorothy nee Sellers, and two of his brothers. I have listed what information I have regarding his siblings and parents below. I do not know at this point which of his brothers came to Newfoundland with him at that time, but one apparently settled in Victoria Village and the other in Trepassey. If anyone has any information regarding either of the two brothers of John Sutton settling in Newfoundland I would love to know.

The Suttons at Trepassey descended from a Thomas Sutton of Wexford Ireland and wife Elizabeth Stone of Trepassey - her father Jonas Stone was a mariner/captain from Devon UK. I have been trying to figure out the Sutton line as well - there were families in the Catalina area with names fairly similar to the Trepassey Suttons...I went through birth/marriage records for the John and Dorothy/Dorothea (Bay de Verde) last night from the late 1700s and early 1800s...
