Hi Tony:
Focus on the area of Brigus and Port de Grave, in Conception Bay, NL. I think you will find them there.
All the Best.

Hi Milt, Thanks for answering my message.
I have already found the Paytons in the Brigus/Port De Grave area, but I am having trouble finding out where and when Richard Payton died (birth abt 1771 Carbonear married to a Grace Sheppard marr: abt 1796) . Also can't find info on his sons' Thomas Paytons wife Mary.
Any ideas?
Much appreciated, Tony

Hi Tony:
Take a look at this one.

Hi Milt, really appreciate you helping me. I do have the info that you have sent me. Trouble is that I can't find a death record for Richard Payton or Thomas Payton. Also can't find death record for Grace Sheppard (who may have remarried) wife of Richard. It has also been difficult to find the parents of Richard Payton - my family is believed to have scottish roots. I have tried for a long time to find this link. The only thing that linked scotland was mentioned on on Richards grandsons marriage certificate in 1870.
Many thanks Tony
