Newfoundland's Grand Banks Message Board

Kate Cahill (1853-1876) was my Great Grandmother. she was married to James Whalen of Colliers in 1875. I believe she either died in child birth with my grandmother, Mary Alyosious, or shortly thereafter. I am trying to confirm her DOD and burial location.

Also, as best as I can tell, her parents are William Cahill and Bridget Keating. Any help on confirming this would be greatly appreciated.

I have the following in my records concerning a Kate Cahill:
I don't have her exact birth date only the year 1853 Salmon Cove, and that she died 29 Apr 1876 Collier's, NL. I will check my CD's with pics of headstones from that area and see if I can find them and if I do where do I send a copy. You can contact me at pmmbyrne@shaw.ca to let me know. Katherine(Kate)Cahill had a brother Thomas Francis Cahill b Sep 1864 Salmon Cove, he married Sarah Bridget Furey b 9 Oct 1864 Salmon Cove d 15 Apr 1907.They had 9 children one of which was Charlie P. Cahill. He was my mom's step-father.
