Wondering if anyone has info or a family tree for the Hackett families of Eng Hr East. My GGgrandmother was Sara Hackett, daughter of John Hackett and Ann Laughlin. Her siblings were, John, Joseph, William, Thomas, Elizabeth, Margaret. Sara married Charles Barnes. She was born apprx 1836. We are unable to find a record of her birth, have searched PANL and parish records. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Marion

Hi Marion.
My Hackett ancestors out of EHE are the same as yours. My GGGgrandfather was John Hackett (son of John Hackett and Anne Laughlin). Looks like your GGgrandmother, Sara Hackett, and my GGGgrandfather, John, were brother and sister. I haven't touched my family tree in many years, and some handwritten documents I had were unfortunately ruined in a basement flood several years ago. If I am able to dig up any info on the Hackett-Laughlin clan, I will be sure to let you know!

Thanks Dwayne, any info would be greatly appreciated. We are unable to locate any birth or baptism records for Sara. We have her marriage certificate to Charles Barnes and some info and records for her siblings. We are indeed related!! Anything you have that might be helpful would be wonderful. Thanks Marion

Was Sarah Hackett's sister Elizabeth the same person who was married to James Vaters of Rushoon?
