Who was the wife, or widow, of F. Edgecombe, in St. John’s? The Grand Banks 1921 Census transcription for Cooks Street shows an Annie, born in Bonavista, as the wife of Frederick Charles Edgecombe, of Catalina. Is that Annie the one who was living at 24 Scott Street, St. John’s, in 1929? I need her surname and parentage to help verify the ancestry of my great-grandmother Catherine (nee Moss) Taylor. On two ship’s manifests the name and address of Catherine’s “nearest relative or friend” was niece Mrs. F. Edgecombe of 24 Scott Street, St. John’s. |
