Hello All, I am looking for info on Horwood family of Quidi Vidi and of the Doyles also. My Grandfather was George Horwood and his wife was Clara Doyle. Their children were Dorothy, Theresa and George. Clara left the family when George was a small boy and went to New York. If anybody knows anything I would be grateful to help fill in some blanks.Other reletives who are cousins are,Stamps, Biddiscombe family. Thank You Debbie Loomis.

Hi Debbie,

I may have some information. I have a George Alfred Horwood born 1887 and son of Jacob Horwood and Emma Lucy Jane Hennebury. The Henneburys are connected to the Biddiscombes. There was a Margaret Hennebury who married a George Irwin Biddiscombe. Margaret was a daughter of Richard Hennebury and Mary Jane Martin.

Send me a message and maybe we can sort out some of your issues.

My info is very early. I have a Ann Horwood (or Harwood) marrying to a Christopher Angel on 10 Jun 1799. I have no other info on this Ann Horwood, other than that she was from Quidi Viddy, Newfoundland. I assume Ann Angel (nee Horwood) died prior to 21 Mar 1802, as this is when Christopher Angell married his second wife, Ann Sparkes at the Anglican Cathedral of St John the Baptist (St Johns Anglican Cathedral).
